OUR Purpose

Lifehouse is a place that you and your family can become an integral part of our life giving community and experience life changing moments through the power of Jesus Christ.

Lifehouse Shenandoah is an inter-denominational church which simply means we partner and receive accountability from the Lifehouse Church Network https://www.lifehouse.network/.  We have the same cause, values, statements of faith, and shared discipleship systems. The Network does not restrict or control individual churches. In essence, we have support and accountability without a denominational agenda.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to simply follow Jesus’ teaching.  When we look at the Bible, we see that Jesus’ cause can be best summarized in two Bible verses:

     The Great Commandment-“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”   This is the first and greatest commandment.  A second is equally important:  “Love your neighbor as yourself.”  Matthew 22:37-39

    The Great Commission-“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”  Matthew 28:19

OUR STORY

 Lifehouse Shenandoah launched in the fall of 2007 as an inter-denominational church with a focus on relationships, not traditional religion.

Instead of buying and maintaining an expensive building, we meet in a rented middle school, so we can focus our resources on meeting the real needs of people.  Instead of having a lot of scheduled programs, we spend more time at BBQ’s, T-Ball games, college events and being out in the community so we can share life with those we care about. 

Our Sunday services are a very casual atmosphere with live music, video clips and down to earth teachings to communicate the love of God.  It’s about having authentic relationships with God and each other.  The “Church” is not buildings or programs, but people!
