We all have scar stories. A fall. A fight. An accident. A surgery. They tell of antics and heroics, tragedies and near-misses, adventure...

We all have scar stories. A fall. A fight. An accident. A surgery. They tell of antics and heroics, tragedies and near-misses, adventure and stupidity. The stories become more dramatic as time distances us from the actual pain of the moment.

There are, however, the other scar stories. The ones you avoid telling and revealing. Their stories still evoke pain, fear, worry, regret, shame or guilt. Unlike most scars, these never quite heal. Their sting remains and the wound re-opens unexpectedly. Just when we thought we were “over it”- a smell, a song, or a memory triggers the event. And “WHAM!” We are back in that dark moment of depression, grief, devastation, or doubt.

We all have them, but we think we’re the only ones that have walked through that particular “scar story.” We tell ourselves, “I’ll never recover. God isn’t here for me, and even if he is, He doesn’t care about me.” While our pain is real and our brokenness has no quick-fix, we are not alone in our scars…

Join Pastor Joel Flower, 10 AM Sundays at Lifehouse Shenandoah as he uncovers the miracle of the Bible and of Easter- that Jesus’ scars healed our scars. Catch a sneak peak of the trailerHERE, download the Scars Study Guide for use in devotions or small groups, and we hope to see you at an upcoming service!

When you’re in a public place…it’s easy to feel like a stranger. You’re just a number. You’re just a random face. You’re just the guy sitting at the traffic light. In a busy world like ours- it’s hard to find a place where we belong. Sure- we can feel comfortable or even accepted…but where do we truly belong?

That’s why Lifehouse places such a strong emphasis on Life Groups. Unlike the corporate Sunday morning gathering—Life Groups offer a place where every person can speak- every person can be noticed, every person can be heard, every person can be connected…and every person can BELONG.

And whether you’re a child, teenager, man, woman, married, single, parent, or senior citizen— there’s a group that can fit your needs, fit your lifestyle and fit your schedule. It’s IMPORTANT to belong. So ask yourself, where do you belong?

Consider joining one of several new Life Groups listed below, or click HERE to download the list. For more info, visit the Welcome Table on Sunday, or contact us!

IT is advertised in HD quality television and commercialized on larger than life billboards. Marketing firms have branded IT and modern culture is obsessed with IT. History is full of IT, and most books weave a plot with IT. Philosophers, preachers, poets, painters, and politicians all do their best to claim IT and promote IT. Top songs on the charts try hard to describe IT.

What is IT and why is everyone bending over backwards to try and get IT?

Join Pastor Joel Sundays, 10 AM @ Lifehouse Shenandoah for a series that uncovers the real meaning of “Love and Other Four Letter Words.” Catch a sneak peek of the trailer and we hope to see you soon!

Friends and family from all across Winchester, VA, were invited to “KICK OFF” a new season with Lifehouse Shenandoah on September 11, 2011. This football-themed anniversary party for the church featured a hot buffet, special kids activities, live music, free giveaways and a special remembrance of the events on September 11, 2001.

Dawning their team colors, nearly 200 sports fans came to the event and were pleasantly surprised to have the opportunity to meet former NFL Redskin, Joe Jacoby. Jacoby shared a brief, but powerful testimony, setting the stage for Pastor Joel Flower to deliver a heart-felt message of thanks and encouragement to the crowd.

If you missed this special event, you can watch Jacoby’s testimony or browse through our photo gallery. Also be sure to subscribe to our email list so you won’t miss out on any more upcoming events.
